Fawn Fog

Fawn Fog” Copyright 2011 Patricia Spork is a series of my horse images, of which, I share a few with you further below.

Fawn” (a.k.a. “Fartin’ Fawn“) is a roan mare we’ve had for years. She is a pigeon-toed sweetie-babe subject to photo-taking abuse from me. LOL! Recently, seeings dogs and horses misted by early morning fog had me grab my cheap digital camera and take a few pictures. I started shooting the horses, but by time got to dogs, fog was lifting. That same day, I did my “digital frolic” by enhancing and manipulating some of the photographs using photo editing software. Fun, fun!

Sad and bad news daily fogs the mind in objectionable ways, so today, figured I’d give your ‘ol fogged mind (and mine) a bit of fogged serenity with “Fawn Fog“. The first image is a reduced version of original vertical shot, showing Fawn’s full body. I cropped original to a horizontal image keeping Fawn’s head and upper body as main subject. From there, wound up withFawn Fog V Dark“  (painted effects) and “Fawn Fog V Light” (V Dark lightened with additional blur effects). All images Copyright 2011 Patricia Spork.

Free download: Right click on images below to save each to your computer for Non-Commercial Personal Use Only [NCPUO] as long as you do not resize, manipulate or enhance any image in any way and you credit each image with it’s title and my copyright notice, and do not use any image in libelous, slanderous or pornographic way. Clyde J. Newman – Lady Illustration

The Clyde J. Newman lady illustration further below complements “The Fable of Why Essies Tall Friend Got the Fresh Air” in the book MORE FABLES by George Ade (Illustrated by Clyde J. Newman), published in 1900 and in the Public Domain.

The fable is an odd and humorous romantic tale about a young man named “Bert”, also known as “The Boy with the Dreamy Eyes“. Bert is employed at a “Furnishing Store” and is always on the look out for “Essie”, a young lady he fancies.

The picture below shows Essie standing outside the store, looking in the window, probably for Bert.

Anyway, in May 2010, the drawing appealed to me enough to tinker with it in photo-editing software. Here are some of the images derived by me [Patricia Spork] in my “Lady Night” series.

Arthur Rackham Frogs

The two black and white (B&W) images below are frog illustrations by Arthur Rackham, who is one of my favorite artists. Both images were selected from Aesop’s Fable – A New Translation by V.S. Vernon Jones, published in 1912.

Free Download! To download images, right click on each and save to your computer.

This first B&W image, I believe, is titled “The King’s Log” and complemented the fable “The Frogs Asking for a King“:

The King's Log by Arthur Rackman

Here’s the artwork I derived from the image above. I entitled it “Frog Night Fun,” since the frogs look like they are having a grand time frolicking in the dark. Wild, huh? Looks better as larger image – make out more details. How ya like those frogs with red lips? Heheheh.

Frog Night Fun

Now, here’s the other Arthur Rackham frog illustration, of which I don’t know the title, but it complemented the “The Ox and The Frog” fable:

And from that image, I derived this one that I entitled “Gramps Storytime” because the big frog reminds me of a granddaddy telling a story to his grandson, the little frog. In the fable, the big “old” frog puffs up so big, it explodes. Sad, but true, and kind of funny, too. LOL!

Gramps Storytime

I know, you’re wondering why all the green. Well, I like green. :0) And, green looks good on frogs, and around frogs, and under frogs, and etc., etc….

Okay, that’s enough for now. Hope you enjoy my “digital frolic” and the free downloads, all Public Domain images, even mine – the “color” artwork by Patricia Spork that I release to the Public Domain. :0)
