There is no monetary compensation for contributions. Contributions are considered Internet public participation in the non-profit blogging experience at Any contribution submitted for review by Patricia Spork should be for educational or informational purposes of interest to the general public and should not infringe on the copyright of others.

Written contributions submitted for publication consideration should be 300-words or less (the shorter the better) and contain your personal views and opinions adhering to the site’s theme of news and journalistic commentary, and may include writer-oriented personal experiences. A short bio may be included in the word count. Any bio links to your website should go to your “About” page or other personal identifying page and not to any sales pages.

Your personal video or podcast (15 minutes max.) contribution will be considered for embedding or linking to from this site. Visual and audio content must adhere to site theme requirements as stated above for written contributions. No type of advertisement (text or spoken) should appear in videos or be mentioned in podcasts.

No contribution content submitted should endorse or advertise any product or entity, or be monetarily sponsored by a third party.

Although your contribution is copyright to you, please do not contribute anything for publication consideration if you do not wish your contribution shared with others. This blog is distributed via RSS reader and email through a third party, so the third party’s terms and policy apply. Also buttons are displayed for sharing content on social media. People may print or copy your contribution. Screen capture software may capture your published contribution. Blah, blah, blah, blah. You get the drift…if you don’t want to share your contribution, don’t contribute.

Now, the legalese to (hopefully) cover my heinie: When you communicate by email, you are sending information and providing content to Patricia Spork or for the website (, and by doing so, you automatically grant a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable right to exercise all copyright and publicity rights you have in the content, in any manner whatsoever, in any media now known or which may be created in the future, including in other works and forms not associated with this website, and as a third party distributes content via RSS reader and email, the third party’s Terms and Policies apply.

Maybe that didn’t scare you off. Here’s a little comfort: Please know I would only use your contributions (if accepted for publication at for the purpose of my blog, and would never do anything intentionally unethical with your communications.
