Independence Day 2020 was spent with family. We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. Mom made a delicious potato salad. Of course, had to have some Pork and Beans, and chips and dips. I’d made homemade salsa from our fresh garden produce, and had Butter and Bread cucumbers (veggies from garden, too). Desserts included ice cream and a chocolate pudding concoction with nuts and cream cheese. Yummy!

Besides eating, we did a few chores for my mother. Can’t visit Mom without a chore list. LOL! On the way home, we were fortunate to see fireworks light up Shreveport, Louisiana. All in all, a grand Fourth of July. Blessed to have spent holiday with family members.

Don’t know if you know, but my father died on July 4th, eight years ago. Dad served proudly in the United States Army. He did one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. Father was a patriot. His patriotism is ingrained in me. So I take the “Oath” (further below) and provide a video of the “FULL” celebration President Trump honored America and Americans with on Independence Day 2020. Thank you, President Trump!

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
